Church family, This past Sunday we asked the first question of our new series: what is the church? At Caesarea Philippi, Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ, and Jesus answered with words we are still living inside. “I will build my church.” He builds it. We get to be part of how. That is what these next two weeks are about. Bible School is almost here, July 26 through 29, and getting ready for it belongs to the whole church, not only the folks you will see in the classrooms. Some of us will teach, lead crafts, and run recreation. Some of us will cook supper, work the check-in table, and pray over every name on the roster. All of it counts. All of it is how we build. A few things to get us there. VBS T-shirt orders are due tomorrow, Monday the 13th, so order today if you want one. Every volunteer, meet in the sanctuary this Sunday, July 19, right after Sunday School, and we will walk through the whole week together. Our Food Bank comes on Saturday the 18th, and it is recertification week, so it will take more hands than usual. If you can give a Saturday morning, give it to this one. Sunday we keep building. Week two of What It Takes asks how, and Philippians points us somewhere we would not think to look. We build from the bottom. We build by serving and putting others first, the way Jesus did when He took the form of a servant. That is the shape of Bible School season too. Worship is at 9:45. 💖 Women’s Ministry A Word from Women’s Ministry |

Ladies, We want to share what is happening in Women’s Ministry, and the heart behind why we do it. Our desire is simple: to create spaces where women feel welcomed, loved, and encouraged as they grow in their relationship with Christ and with one another. Life is busy, and meaningful relationships do not always happen by accident. So we make room on purpose for women to gather, learn, laugh, and walk alongside one another in faith. Through the year we host two larger events and gather every other month. |

Every other month we gather in a different home for fellowship, food, and fun, and we hear a woman’s testimony each time. These gatherings are for women of all ages. |

Our prayer is that every woman at First Baptist knows there is a place for her here. Some of the sweetest moments of growth happen when women gather around God’s Word and one another.
